Collider Physics after the Higgs Discovery

The Higgs boson plays a special role in the so-called Standard Model (SM) of particle physics and the investigation of its properties may guide us towards extensions of the SM, provided we are able to identify deviations from the SM predictions to a high level of precision and interpret them in a constructive manner. We will first review some recent developments related to precision calculations in the Higgs sector. The second part will focus on Higgs boson pair production as a process to further constrain the Higgs potential. This will be done in the context of parametrising effects of physics at so far unreachable energy scales in terms of Effective Field Theory.
